2019 10 28

In the context of the coming All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days’ period, the Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications (the Road Administration) invites municipalities to prepare in advance for increasing traffic flows.

Information received from municipalities on temporary traffic changes on state roads, related to All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days will be placed on the website eismoinfo.lt and mobile application EISMOINFO.

‘Our aim is to ensure convenient and safe movement on the roads. We hope that advance invitation to cooperate will help municipalities to create more convenient  transport and traffic organization’, says the Director of the Road Administration Transport Infrastructure Planning and Innovation Department Mr Aivaras Vilkelis.

The latest updates on traffic changes are placed on website eismoinfo.lt. This website also contains information on the restrictions due to the ongoing works, traffic conditions, information from road weather condition stations, video cameras, traffic sensors and other devices at the state significance roads.

The Road Administration is responsible for traffic organization on state significance roads. Municipalities are responsible for traffic organization on local significance roads. Lithuania has more than 21,000 km of state significance and more than 70,000 local significance roads.
