Via Lietuva hosts project team meeting and on-site study visit in Vilnius
On 29–30 July 2026, AB Via Lietuva hosted a two-day internal training and working meeting of the LTPL00352 “Connectivity Across Lithuanian–Polish Border” project team at its headquarters in Vilnius. Representatives of all four project partners from Lithuania and Poland took part in this event.
The first day was dedicated to training and working sessions. As host, AB Via Lietuva opened the programme with a working session on current project matters, followed by a presentation of our institutional profile — the competences, mandate and working methods of the national road management company. Further sessions covered the coordination of the project communication and social media campaign, the methodology for measuring transport project results, and an analysis of the project’s cross-border territorial effects.
The second day began with a working session on reporting for the ending fourth reporting period and current project matters. It continued with a study visit to the rehabilitation site on national road No. 2505, where partners were guided in situ by the contractor’s representative. The 10 km section modernised by AB Via Lietuva — including the reconstruction of two bridges — is the Lithuanian part of the continuous 22.24 km transport corridor linking Poland and Lithuania.
Hosting the meeting allowed us to share our technical experience directly with the partners and to synchronise schedules on both sides of the border. After the project is completed, road No. 2505 will remain part of Lithuania’s national road network managed by AB Via Lietuva.
The project is implemented under the Interreg VI-A Lithuania–Poland Programme 2021–2027 and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Project completion is scheduled by 30 November 2027.
